Japanese automaker Nissan ventures in auto insurance in Mexico, by creating a broker called Anzen, which will serve as an intermediary between customers who purchase a loan for a car of Nissan, Renault and Infiniti brands and will do so with four insurance : Qualitas, ABA Seguros, GNP and Mapfre.
Currently customers requesting credit must hire an auto insurance during the duration of the financing, for Nissan are up to 72 months. Through Anzen, the Japanese company plans to capture all insurance customers arriving at dealerships of the three brands, to purchase a new or pre-owned vehicle.
Anzen began operations in October 2014 and the end of last year captured 95% of the 200,000 insurance tied to loans granted by financial house Nissan, NR Finance. Our goal this year is to reach all the units financed by NR Finance, said Juan Manuel Lopez, CEO of Anzen.
Andres de la Parra, CEO of NR Finance clarified that the consumer can purchase insurance on their own, provided that the policy meets all the requirements requested by the concessionaire -to protect the value of the unit for the duration the credit- such as access to certified workshops or use of original parts.
Nissan also dabbled in life insurance through Chubb Asurant and insurers. In 2016 the firm starts with business insurance, offering protection to damage to its 300 dealerships and later to four floors.
